The Special Education Department of Premier High School - Abilene is giving notice that, as required by law, all special education eligibility and educational records have been maintained for five (5) years following the date of the last recorded action for each student served through the special education program. At the end of five years, the records may be destroyed.
At this time, the Special Education Department at PHS-Abilene is preparing to destroy all special education records for students who have not attended the school since the 2013-2014 and prior school years.
The special education eligibility and educational records are currently stored on the PHS-Abilene campus located at 3161 S. 23rd Street, Abilene, Texas 79605. All records must be picked up in person with picture identification by the records owner (adult student) or the person standing in guardianship of the former student. Legal proof of guardianship is required. No records will be transmitted electronically. There will be no exceptions to these requirements.
All special education eligibility and educational records pertaining to the 2013-2014 school year or prior years remaining after August 1, 2019 will be destroyed.
